Turn The Page Overview
Turn the Page is a young readers initiative of the Mississippi Book Festival. Through our growing network of authors and publishers, we are able to engage compelling authors who write for young readers, and bring them into classrooms across the state. From creative writing exercises to composing poems and everything in between, we aim to ignite a passion for reading!

2023-25 School-year Events
In the first two years of our Turn the Page initiative, more than 40 events were held in 16 different counties across Mississippi! We welcomed more than a dozen inspiring authors, including Marshall Ramsay, Angie Thomas, Mary Heglar and Nic Stone. In total, the initiative has provided 4,100+ books as gifts to participating students!
