Steve Azar

A native of Greenville, Mississippi, Steve Azar is a hit songwriter, recording artist, and music producer whose sound traverses a blend of country, blues, folk, and rock n’ roll, a genre he calls, "Delta Soul." He has released seven critically acclaimed studio albums.
In October 2020, Azar released a compilation exclusive vinyl, CD and digital release titled My Mississippi Reunion featuring “One Mississippi” along with a collection of new and remastered songs, all about home. The album won the 2021 Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters award for best contemporary album. In March 2022, legislature passed a bill to make “One Mississippi” the official state song and in April 2022 Governor Tate Reeves signed the bill into law. Azar published his first book, "One Mississippi", a children's book based on the song.
