Kelly Foster Lundquist is the author of Beard: A Memoir of a Marriage, named by SheReads as a Most Anticipated Memoir of Fall 2025 and now a finalist for the 2026 Minnesota Book Award in Memoir and Creative Nonfiction as well as the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award in Life Writing. Her work can be found in People Magazine, Times of London, Huffington Post, and Writer's Digest, among other places. Dan Savage recently told her on the air that she was "absolutely delightful company" and that Beard was an "incredibly moving tour-de-force" and she just likes to brag about that now. Originally from Mississippi, she now teaches writing in Minnesota, where she lives in a little red house by the Mississippi River with her husband, daughter, and dog.
