Judith Negron is a justice reform advocate with a Master's in Mental Health, and over 20 years of experience as an educator, mentor, and counselor. As a formerly incarcerated individual, she has dedicated her freedom to advocate for those impacted by the justice system.
As a fierce advocate, her mission is to empower those impacted by the justice system and guide them upon their reentry process; through education, mentorship, and tutoring, she has helped over 3,000 system-impacted women in various institutions. As the Policy Team Lead for Unlock Higher Education and Partnership Lead for The Ladies of Hope Ministries, she aims to bridge the gap between reentry and resources, aligning those impacted by the justice system with higher education and equitable employment opportunities post-incarceration. She holds a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from St. Thomas University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Florida International University.
Judith has served as a mentor for Uplift and Prison to Professionals, both focused on assisting individuals in their post-incarceration journey. She's a facilitator for Ladies Empowerment and Action Program and a Speaker's Bureau member, a JustLeadershipUSA Emerging Leaders and LwC 2023 graduate, The LOHM Pathways for Equity Fellow and Epic Ambassador for Florida, Dream.org Justice Empathy and Women Organizing for Justice & Opportunity graduate, and sits on the Board of Directors for Evolution Reentry and Exchange for Change, two non-profit organizations focused on assisting the justice impacted community during and after incarceration.
