Dr. Jerid P. Woods, also known as Akili Nzuri, is a Natchez, Mississippi native, educator, literary advocate, cultural commentator, and emerging writer. He created A Black Man Reading, a literary platform he stepped away from to launch his writing career. As Community Engagement and Partnerships Manager at Baldwin & Co., he connects authors, readers, and communities through literary conversations and serves as executive producer and frequent contributor to the Baldwin & Co.
