Gloria Carter Dickerson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of We2gether Creating Change, an organization committed to the transformation of the Mississippi Delta region. The organization's mission focuses on shifting perceptions of the Delta from being associated with poverty and limited skills to one recognized for prosperity and a highly skilled population. Through initiatives aimed at impoverished rural communities, We2gether Creating Change seeks to create opportunities and foster possibilities for children and families to attain successful lives.

Ms. Dickerson previously held positions at the W. K. Kellogg Foundation, beginning as Controller and subsequently serving as Program Director for the Mid-South Delta Initiative, an economic and community development project. She retired from this role in August 2009. Prior to her work at Kellogg, she was Vice President of Financial Operations at MINACT, INC., located in Jackson, Mississippi.

In September 2017, Ms. Dickerson founded the Mae Bertha Carter Learning Center, where she currently oversees programs for both youth and adults. These programs include workshops on life skills, healthy living, African American history, financial literacy, relationship-building, mindfulness, and career readiness.

She is prominently featured in Silver Rights by Constance Curry—a book documenting her family's pivotal role in integrating public schools in Sunflower County, Mississippi. The narrative details the legal and personal challenges faced by her parents, Mae Bertha and Matthew Carter, as they pursued educational equity—a landmark demonstration of civil courage impacting their family and many others.

Ms. Dickerson holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi, Oxford, and an MBA from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. She is a former Certified Public Accountant and a certified instructor/trainer in Heal Your Life®, Mindful Schools®, and Primordial Sound Meditation™.

In November 2015, Ms. Dickerson was elected to the Sunflower County Board of Supervisors. She currently resides in Drew, Mississippi.
