G. Todd Smith

G. Todd Smith is a lifelong writer, former journalist, and branding expert whose passion for storytelling was shaped by the literary traditions of the American South. A Baylor University graduate, he began his career at The Washington Times before spending nearly four decades building brands and leading communications for nationally recognized organizations. Inspired by writers such as Ernest Hemingway, William Faulkner, and Eudora Welty, Smith combines a journalist's eye for detail with a deep appreciation for history, family, and place. His debut book, Josie: A True Story of Race, Rescue and Resilience, was inspired by his mother's encouragement to preserve the remarkable true story of a woman who became an enduring part of his family's Mississippi heritage. Smith lives in Nashville with his wife, Grace. They have two adult children, Zach and Mary Grace, and a daughter-in-law, Landess. They will soon be grandparents.
