Diane Stevenson

I am the co-author and illustrator of a collection of poems for children Did You Kiss a Cat Today? Coming out in 2026 are two new publications: a children's story, Thirteen Chapters, and a poetry book The Widow's List about the grief I experienced after the unexpected death of my husband, the film critic and historian Gilberto Perez. I was born and raised on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, so I am the Mississippi poet Diane Stevenson, not the Florida poet Diane Stevenson.
