Breanna J. McDaniel

Breanna J. McDaniel is the author of picture books, HANDS UP!, IMPOSSIBLE MOON , CUTE TOOT and the Ezra Jack Keats Writer Award winning book GO FORTH AND TELL. Her latest book is from Macmillan, and is entitled AUNTIE'S BABY. An alumna of Emory University and Simmons University, she holds a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge where she focused her research on surveillance and respectability politics in representations of Black children as food in contemporary picture books. She lives in Atlanta where she owns Impossible Moon Bookshop with her dog Hazelnut Nutella.
