Angela Ball's poems, prose, and translations have appeared in Boulevard, Poetry, The Paris Review, The Atlantic Monthly, Ploughshares, The North American Review, The Partisan Review, The New Yorker, Grand Street, Field, Colorado Review, The New Republic, The Bennington Review, Threepenny Review, and elsewhere. Her seventh and most recent book of poetry is Steeplechase, from the University of Pittsburgh Press. Her anthology of poems plus commentary, Afterlives of the New York School of Poets, appeared from Routledge in 2026. A two-time winner of the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award for Poetry and the recipient of an Individual Artist's Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, she teaches in the Center for Writers, part of the School of Humanities at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, where she lives with her dogs, Ruth and Boy.
