Anne is the award-winning author of the picture books Nell Plants a Tree, Everybody in the Red Brick Building and Patrick and the Not So Perfect Party. She also penned the board books One Big Day, Hands On!, No More Sleeping In, and Just Like You.

Anne's books have received the Ezra Jack Keats Award, the Ezra Jack Keats Honor, and the Golden Kite Award and have been selected as the Texas Great Read, a Kids' Indie Next Pick, and a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection, among other honors.

Anne's upcoming works include Maya Angelou: A Little Golden Book Biography, illustrated by Courtney Lovett; Willie Mays: A Little Golden Book Biography, illustrated by Bea Jackson; So Many Years: A Juneteenth Story, illustrated by Jerome Pumphrey; and While We're Here, illustrated by Micha Archer.

Originally from Houston, TX, Anne earned a degree in theater from Washington University in St. Louis and penned a number of short plays that have been produced around the country. She lives in Austin, TX with her family. Visit annewynter.com to say hi or learn more.
