Zack Knoll is an Editor at Abrams, publishing a range of fiction, narrative nonfiction, and illustrated books. He was most recently an Associate Editor at the flagship Simon & Schuster imprint from 2016 until 2021. Zack's books have been New York Times and national bestsellers; Indie Next and New York Times Notable Books selections; and his titles have been nominated for or have won awards such as the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, the PEN/Hemingway Debut Novel Award, the Scotiabank Giller Prize, the LAMBDA Literary Award, the Aspen Words Literary Prize, and the Publishing Triangle Emerging Writer Award. He's edited books by some of these panelists, including Greg Marshall and Nash Jenkins, in addition to books by writers such as JP Brammer, Sopan Deb, Linda Rui Feng, Ryan Fitzgibbon, Rafael Frumkin, R.O. Kwon and Garth Greenwell, The Grand Ole Opry, Nico Lang, Daniel Lefferts, Bob Mackie, Kevin Nealon, Edafe Okporo, and Ben Purkert, among others. Zack holds degrees in Creative Writing and English from Oberlin College. He was born and raised in the city of Chicago, and while he now lives in Brooklyn, he will always prefer deep dish pizza.
