Ryan P. Semmes
Dr. Semmes is Professor and Director of Research at the Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library at Mississippi State University. He has been on the faculty at Mississippi State University since 2007 and has worked with the Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library since 2009. Ryan's research focuses on the connections between foreign and domestic policy and the nature of citizenship during the Reconstruction era.
