Randi is the critically acclaimed author of Angel of Greenwood, praised by NPR as a story “American kids need to know”; and Girls Like Us, a School Library Journal Best Book of 2019. Pink's highly anticipated fifth novel, Under the Heron's Light, set in the Great Dismal Swamps of North Carolina and Virginia, hits shelves October 2024. Through historical fiction, Pink is introducing national and international audiences to lesser-known events and figures in American history. Her novels frequently appear throughout the nation on curricula, book awards and bestseller lists.
A native and resident of Birmingham, AL, Randi Pink leverages her unique experience with her southern roots when she writes. In addition to writing, Pink also runs a nonprofit treehouse village project in the Eastlake neighborhood of Birmingham.
