Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, and with a background in radio, television, and journalism, Joe Lee has written nine suspense novels, the last seven of which comprise his small-town Oakdale series set in northeast Mississippi. Lee also has more than 1,000 news and feature stories to his credit at several Mississippi newspapers and magazines. Raphael's Men, the true story of Bill Raphael's four decades as head football coach and math instructor par excellence at a small Catholic high school in Jackson, is Lee's second book-length work of non-fiction. A proud graduate of Mississippi State University, Lee lives in Brandon, Mississippi.
